Data Education for Work

The Data Education for Work project will help to empower workers in the Edinburgh and South East Scotland City Region to prepare themselves for the changing world of work shaped by data-driven innovation.

Upskilling and reskilling for a data driven world

In the changing world of work there is an increasing requirement for both employers and individuals to access upskilling and retraining opportunities in data science and AI.

The Data Education for Work project, led by The Data Lab, will help to empower workers in the Edinburgh and South East Scotland City Region to prepare and equip themselves with the skills to take advantage of the world of work shaped by data-driven innovation.

The programme will include funding to enable workers to access training; a portal signposting to relevant courses and career pathways; and executive level training to help employers understand their data skills requirements and adopt data science practices into their organisations.

If you are:

  • An employer – planning to grow your internal data capability
  • A training provider – interested in offering data skills courses
  • An individual – looking for opportunities to upskill or retrain
