An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated individual to join ScotlandIS and lead and develop the emerging cyber cluster in Scotland, building community, developing initiatives and collaborating with partners and stakeholders.
A high-profile role requiring both strong community development skills and sector knowledge, this new position will build on work already undertaken to understand and map the emerging cyberlandscape in Scotland. The post holder will engage with Scottish industry and other stakeholders to expand the cluster in Scotland, build a strong community of interest, attract inward investment and deliver a compelling international proposition. Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Cyberwill act as an advocate for the cluster, strengthening, representing and channeling this vital growing Scottish capability.
Highly effective at making things happen, with a good technical grasp of the emerging cyberlandscape, the Head of Cyber will develop a clear strategy and action plan to enhance capabilities across both the supply and demand elements of the cybersector, work with stakeholders in the private, public and the third sector, and liaise with experts within academia.
The post-holder must also be able to demonstrate success in business development as they will also be responsible for developing income streams to support cluster and broader activities.
