March 11 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Venue: Hello Digital, An Lochran, Inverness
Audience: Business, Public Sector, Academia, 3rd sector and the General Public
Remote and rural communities need an integrated cross-sectoral approach between businesses, academics, the public sector and communities to address issues and develop opportunities for sustainable development.
Emerging technologies create a platform through which the Highlands of Scotland can improve access to healthcare, education and employment. It can improve the quality of our infrastructure and service and grow our key sectors whilst simultaneously reducing environmental impact.
Data and Artificial Intelligence will be the driving force in identifying and prioritising our issues and opportunities and in the assessment of the outputs and outcomes that result from adopting new knowledge and technology in redesigning education, commerce and public services.
Hear short presentations from Scottish Water, Scottish Environment Protection Agency and NHS Highland outlining how they are using data to redesign their services, how emerging technologies are starting to disrupt how public services are delivered, what the future holds and how working together creates bigger impact.
Please be aware that photography and filming may take place during the event. The photos and video may be used to promote future events on the DataFest and / or The Data Lab websites and social media channels and on digital and/or print/promotional materials.
If you do not wish to be included, please let the event organiser know on the day and we will give you an identifier so the photographers / videographers know not to include you.
