NTT DATA UK Open Innovation 10.0: Edinburgh

2nd December 2019 @ 1:00 pm - 7:00 pm

The global community is facing a variety of challenges, including Healthcare and Life Sciences; Finance, Insurance & Payments; Automotive & Manufacturing as a Service; Telecom & IoT ; In-Store Front & Marketing Digitalization; Smart Automation; Data Distribution and Disruptive Social Innovation. In order to solve these challenges, open innovation will play greater roles than ever so that people throughout the world can work together across national borders in advanced technology and new business models to create solutions.

Each year, NTT DATA hosts a global Open Innovation Contest for high potential startups across industries and a wide range of technologies from AI to IoT to FinTech. This year the competition is being held in 16 cities globally and the Edinburgh pitch day will be on 2nd December 2019. This year we are hosting the event at the prestigious Bayes Centre.

You are invited to join us at the NTT DATA Open Innovation Contest hosted with Innovate Finance, for an interesting afternoon of pitches, a panel discussion on effective innovation and networking, on Monday 2nd December 2019, at The Bayes Centre, The University of Edinburgh’s innovation hub for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.

You’ll hear pitches from our shorlisted startups Topolytics, NewsBlocks, Shoppa, The Data for Children Collaborative with UNICEF, Ocyan Cloud Technology, KareInn, BlueFlow, Anomalous, The Bot Platform and Unmanned Life about how they plan on tackeling these challenges

The Edinburgh “Pitch Day” winner will have the opportunity to travel to Japan for the Grande Finale on January 24th 2020.

Last year’s global contest champion, India-based FlytBase ‘Pune’, are working with NTT DATA experts to field the world’s first Internet of Drones platform for easily deploying intelligent drones connected with cloud-based business applications.

In the UK, regional winner for the 9th contest hosted in London in 2019 was GeoSpock, a spatial big data startup that demonstrated a unique power to discover new insights in data, with huge potential to drive a hyper-connected future. Read more here.
