DataKind UK DataCorps Introduction (online)
June 24 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Are you a data whizz, a visualisation tsar, or a project management superstar? Do you want to help make real social change with your skills, but aren’t sure how?
Volunteers are the driving force behind the support we provide to charities and social change organisations. This online webinar will tell you all you need to know about volunteering on a DataCorps, DataKind UK’s long-term projects that support charities to increase their impact and transform their operations with data science.
This event will kick off recruitment for a number of DataCorps projects which we’ve been busy scoping behind the scenes, and we can’t wait to tell you more! We’ll be sharing information on the night about how to apply to take part. (We’ll also post this online afterwards for anyone who can’t make the session.)
We’ll run through what skills we are looking for, how much of a commitment it is, and then hear from previous DataCorps volunteers who have been there, done that, and got the ‘Data for Good’ t-shirt! After that there will be an optional chance to network and ask questions in virtual breakout rooms.
This event is open to anyone with an interest in volunteering with DataKind UK, and you’re not committed to anything by coming along.
To ensure we have a safe and enjoyable event, please register here on Eventbrite, and we’ll send you a link to a password protected Zoom shortly before the event. We will always tell you if an event is being recorded. Zoom is the best fit for what we do at the moment, but if you have any further concerns or comments, please get in touch with us.
We look forward to seeing you there!
