Creative Informatics Resident Entrepreneur’s Discovery Workshop

March 10 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Are you a creative individual or a small team looking for the time, space and funding to develop a new data-driven product or service? Do you have initial ideas about innovative uses of data in the creative industries but need collaborators to take your ideas further?

The Creative Informatics programme (https://creativeinformatics.org/) offers Resident Entrepreneurships where successful applicants will receive funding of up to £12,000 and a placement with a Host Organisation in Edinburgh/South East Scotland that will provide office space and mentoring for the duration of their residency. For more info on this scheme, see here: https://creativeinformatics.org/resident-entrepreneurs/

As part of DataFest Fringe, we would like to run an open ‘discovery workshop’ for anyone who might be interested in applying as a Resident Entrepreneur. The workshops are fun and informal sessions where the Creative Informatics team, in partnership with Creative Edinburgh, can help participants identify and articulate potential projects and host organisations to support their application. The workshops are designed to support those with very early ideas, as well as anyone with a more developed application.

Resident Entrepreneur Discovery Workshops are open to anyone working in the creative industries in Edinburgh and South East Scotland.
Please be aware that photography and filming may take place during the event. The photos and video may be used to promote future events on the DataFest and / or The Data Lab websites and social media channels and on digital and/or print/promotional materials.
