Why is it important to define our culture?
The Data Lab team and our community believe passionately in our mission to help Scotland maximise value from data and lead the world to a data powered future. This shared mission has driven us from the launch of The Data Lab in 2014 through to the present day with a core team of over 30 staff supported by three Boards working with a community of thousands across Scotland and around the world.
In those early days our culture and values were developed implicitly as we operated as a small team. Today, as we continue to grow the team and community, we believe that it is important to develop, communicate and share our culture and values in support of our mission.
From hiring and onboarding new colleagues to supporting their growth, running events to procuring services, funding students in our skills programmes to collaborating with partners, we aim to embed our values in everything we do.
