Darran Gardner is an experienced business development manager and management consultant whose most recent role was with the Energy Technology Partnership, where he developed and managed a wide range of collaborative academia/industry projects focused on the energy sector.
From his base at the University of Strathclyde Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering he was also engaged in a range of commercialisation and grant-related activities. As a management consultant at a boutique consultancy firm in Glasgow, he worked with a range of UK and Scottish SMEs across all sectors, delivering strategy support focused on intangible assets and intellectual property management and commercialisation. He has also worked freelance as a consultant, delivering strategic business growth advisory and marketing support to a number of SMEs. He has an MBA from Strathclyde Business School and an LLM from the Glasgow Law School. He joins The Data Lab’s Glasgow Hub as a Business Development Executive.
